Who I am:
An artist, art director, designer and sometime animator working in the entertainment industry for nearly twenty years. I have extensive visual effects experience and provide design, concept and visual consulting services for feature films, television, games - and now, the web. Iron Rooster Studios is both my home on the internet and my brick-and-mortar space in Northern California.
My biggest project of the past year was David De Rothschild's Plastiki Expedition website (Flash). I conceived, modeled and rendered a 3D interface, where you can explore the Plastiki craft (Collective of London designed the site). The Plastiki is made almost entirely with "upcyclable" plastics used in revolutionary ways, plus 12,000 recycled, pressurized plastic soda bottles. When I started the project, almost a year and a half ago, the Plastiki was a dream, a vision in David's head... recently I got to stand on the deck of this one-of-a-kind, visionary craft, and nothing I have ever worked on has pleased me more. I am very happy that I have had the chance to help in some small way to bring this adventure to life!
Also, I've been working on a Clint Eastwood movie, my second, called Hereafter, which has recently wrapped principle photography.
Surrogates was released in September 2009 - directed by Jonathan Mostow and starring Bruce Willis, it was my focus for most of 2008. Check out my SURROGATES GALLERY.
